Level 1 & 2 “Trusted Pilot” Certification
The Apprenticeship is the Engine
We are a federally registered U.S. Department of Labor apprenticeship.
Our 24-month program includes FAA curriculum and FAA certifications, pairs hands-on robotics ops with deep systems education, equipping people not just to work, but to understand and evolve the system they’re a part of.
This isn’t job training. It’s identity formation through technological literacy.

The Pre-Apprenticeship
200 Hours
66 Hours on-site
FAA 107
Earning your Part 107 Remote Pilots Certificate is required by the FAA for all commercial drone operations. This course walks you through everything you need to know to pass the exam.
APSA BPERP
CAPSA-NIST Basic Proficiency Evaluation for Remote Pilots (BPERP) Certificate
SIMULATION BASED TRAINING AND TESTING
LEVEL 1
LEVEL 2
TRUSTED
OPERATOR
Trusted Operator™ fills the gap between Part 107’s minimally prescriptive operating regulations and a higher level of demonstrated knowledge, flight proficiency, safety and risk management practices that is valued by employers and customers of commercial uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) operators.
ON-SITE
66 HOURS
Your on-site training includes robotic kitchens overview, operations at LUV SHACK, apprenticeship guidelines and overview of the U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship program.
STEP 2
You receive credit for the first 150 hours of curriculum during the pre-apprenticeship and enter the 24 month program and begin your employment at one of our locations.

Where Apprentices Become Civic Technologists
At LUV Corps, apprenticeship isn’t confined to kitchens, delivery lanes, or simulators—it radiates outward. Each apprentice is a node in a growing network of community resilience, education, and care.
What Apprentices Do Beyond the Site:
Community Safety Missions
As the mission expands, apprentices will help support search and rescue efforts using drones and robotics, assisting local responders with mapping, tracking, and thermal detection technology.
Civic Safety Support Site
specific readiness projects aligned with local agencies—preparing drone tech for storm response, infrastructure assessment, or crowd safety at public events.
Youth Robotics Education Apprentices organize demos, host coding nights, and facilitate hands-on robotics programming for local youth—especially in underserved schools. -
Service & Mutual Aid
Whether it's food distribution, tech support for elders, or disaster prep, apprentices help their communities not just survive—but thrive.
Why It Matters
We don’t just build systems. We build stewards of those systems. LUV apprentices become trusted actors in their communities—technicians with purpose, mentors with vision, and neighbors who care.
Performing Arts
some of our locations include cinemas and stage productions, implementing STEAM into the Arts with robotics, acting, dance, 3d projection and more.
SPOT in the Arts
(at some locations)
LUV and the Performing Arts (STEAM) at some locations
From day one, LUV Corps was never just about robotics. It’s about choreography—not just of tasks, but of meaning.
That’s why some of our locations include: Cinemas + Theaters - Integrated robotic delivery in concession systems -
Live demo nights where robotic kitchens performs in sync with sound/light - Autonomous vehicles as part of stage productions - Modular robotic arms animating stage effects, lighting changes, or scenic transformations
SPOT on Stage Boston Dynamics’ SPOT becomes not just a worker—but a performer: - Dance choreography - Message delivery - Narrative-triggered interaction during plays or community events
Why It Matters
We believe that apprenticeship isn’t just functional—it’s expressive. Participants learn to: - Code movement like they’d write poetry - Build stages into signal amplifiers - Align civic automation with artistic ceremony In a LUV Theater, a drone flight or might be a scene transition. Or a metaphor. Or both.
